In the mid 1960s only a handful of independent studios existed outside the control of the major London record labels - RG Jones in Wimbledon, Joe Meek in Holloway and Strawberry Studios in Manchester. In the East Riding of Yorkshire local musician and electronics whizz kid Keith Herd started Fairview Studios in his spare front room.

Front Room Masters tells the story of the first seven pioneering years of Fairview and the local musicians who passed through the front door on their way to fame or obscurity.
